Chesslyn “Chess” Wright is a Christ-follower with an ever-growing love for her Lord, husband, family, and friends. She is the eldest of her siblings, and a writer by nature. In her free time, she can be found studying the Bible, playing video games, cross-stitching, dog walking, and whenever work hasn’t drained her of all literary efforts, reading. She enjoys Shoujo anime, iced coffee, and everything pink.

Chess is the author of The Bohemian Trials and the person you connect with if you reach out to Chess & Gwen over email or social media. She developed a deep love for literature when she was merely ten years old—thanks to the first mystery novel she had ever read—and swiftly found her passion in writing when she attempted to create her first book. A few hundred pages later, she knew she was hooked. Over the past decade, Chesslyn has been writing whenever the opportunity arises, and she experienced her first sizable readership through an action-packed fan fiction that she simply wrote to pass the time between her undergrad courses. However, The Bohemian Trials has been her passion project since before she even graduated from high school, and that has always taken first priority amidst her authorship.
Chesslyn has obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English Education while also receiving a certificate for both Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and Copy Editing. Furthermore, her work experience includes graphic literature, classic prose, educational essays, instruction manuals, and advertisements.
